We are searching for a Senior Program / Design Engineer to provide design and project management on new development programs. As part of a cross-functional team, draw on the resources of Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Purchasing and other functions to accomplish company objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manage project efforts to achieve FAA Approval on assigned hardware within allotted timeframe.
- Develop drawings, measurements and material evaluations of OEM parts using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
- Conduct data and structural analysis.
- Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) of new designs.
- Work in conjunction with manufacturing to develop design and assembly techniques.
- Prepare and submit certification packages for FAA Approval.
- Perform additional duties and assignments, as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a design/project engineer.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials and coatings.
- Experience in GD&T per ANSI Y14.5M.
- Working knowledge in FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) preferred.
- Project management experience essential.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical design with either electrical heater design or electrical power circuit design a plus.
- Experience in Pro/E software preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
- A high attention to detail.
- Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks.
- Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
