We are searching for an experienced Director, Sales and Marketing to manage all sales and marketing activities and develop sales strategies and techniques to enter and capture business in new markets while continuing to grow current market share with existing customer base.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage both internal sales organization as well as an external network of sales representatives and distributors.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers to allow Aero-Instruments to grow market position and establish new customers.
- Provide leadership and skills development to direct reports.
- Develop tactical plans to execute long-term growth strategies.
- Collaborate with the President and other sales staff to develop and implement strategies to capture business in support of company’s growth objectives. This includes conducting competitive analysis and market research.
- Identify emerging Air Data Sensor trends for new product development.
- Work with Management staff to establish goals, budgets, forecasts, pricing structures and inventory levels.
- Provide periodic reports to management on customer base, outstanding issues and sales.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 7 years sales and sales management experience within the aerospace industry with an emphasis on selling complex / technical components to both aftermarket customers and original equipment manufacturers.
- Demonstrated competencies and proven success in direct domestic and international commercial airline sales.
- Thorough understanding of the aviation marketplace, with an emphasis on the commercial and regional airline markets.
- Superior oral, written, negotiation, presentation and proposal development skills and the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and account priorities simultaneously.
- Established sales techniques in identifying and obtaining new business.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful relationships with a new customer base and an ability to establish relationships with key executives and decision makers.
- A level of maturity, good judgment, superior organizational skills, a bias for action and integrity would be demonstrated in a person being considered for this position.
