We are searching for a MECHANICAL DESIGNER with thorough understanding of computer aided design equipment, particularly PRO Engineer, in an electrical and mechanical manufacturing environment. She or he will assist in the design of new products and the improvement of current products. As part of a cross-functional team, he or she will draw on the resources of Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and other functions to accomplish company objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Design new Air Data Sensors for the Aerospace Industry using PRO Engineer
- Drive for novel, but effective designs.
- Actively share design discoveries with colleagues.
- Work independently or with a diversified team to identify problems, define problems, define approaches, and perform analysis
- Good communication skills.
- Works in conjunction with manufacturing engineering and operations to develop tooling designs.
- Handle multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Self motivated team player.
- Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Proficient in Pro/E software.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical design and machined components.
- Thorough understanding of GD&T.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of aerospace and military specifications a plus.
- Strong work ethic and a high attention to detail.
- Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks.
