Manufacturing Engineer

We are searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development of methods, tooling, and processes to reduce cost, improve quality, and promote continual improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Leads manufacturing development, process control, cost and cycle time reduction initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Determines process sequence and writes, reads and interprets work orders, engineering instructions, manuals, specifications, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical diagrams.
- Leads continuous improvement teams and organizes efforts to evaluate and/or implement employee suggestions.
- Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel and others regarding design and manufacturing issues and improvements.
- Coordinates with Engineering and suppliers the development of new materials, processes and products, ensuring a smooth and rapid transition from prototyping to manufacturing.
- Develops training plans and curriculum and trains and certifies operators.
- Coordinates / assists in the requirements development, installation and maintenance of processing equipment such as tooling, test systems, compressors, pumps, ovens, mills, lathes, polishers, etc.
Skills and Experience:
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5-10 years working as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
- Welding and brazing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Familiarity with electrolytic and electroless plating processes.
- Demonstrated results in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Refined analytical and problem solving skills.
