We are searching for an experienced Engineering / Lab Technician to support the Engineering staff in the design, development and certification of new products and/or redesign of existing products. Position is responsible for set up and conduction on a variety of electrical and mechanical tests on air data sensors, subassemblies and parts.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Meeting established Quantity and Quality requirements
- Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
- Records pertinent information on Engineering forms used for test and certification.
- Tests functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts under specified conditions.
- Calibrates test instruments according to specified test equipment and procedures.
- Reads dials or digital displays that indicate electrical characteristics such as voltage, frequency, current, etc.
- Compares results with specifications and records test data.
- Analyzes test results on defective units.
- Operate computer test equipment
- Use of electrical and gage tools for inspections purposes.
- Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.
- Write test reports to communicate results, define test set ups and anomalies observed during test conduct.
- Conducts and Manages Off Site Testing.
Skills and Experience:
- Three to five years experience in a design/development test environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiar with data acquisition components, pressure, temp transducers, calibration and documentation processes.
- Ability to read work orders and blueprints.
- Ability to analyze data to determine trends.
- Experience with Labview or similar data acquisition software
