Inventory Control Coordinator

We are searching for an Inventory Control Coordinator to handle the responsibilities of compiling records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies and equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, labor tickets, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
  • Identifies and controls lot number and serialization for all inventoried items.
  • Picking and kitting inventory items in accordance with bills of material.
  • Maintains accurate, timely, and complete communication between production, planning, and purchasing.
  • Prepares requisitions or other documents for purchasing new or additional stock items.
  • Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
  • Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Determines method of shipment and required packaging, containers and markings.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. 
  • Routes items to departments. 
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Operates hand trucks and other moving devices used in a warehouse.
  • Responsible for retention of work order travelers, supplier packing lists, certificates of conformance, proof of delivery and other applicable documents.
  • Publishes and communicates statistical reports for problem analysis (Pareto, Comparative analysis).
  • Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested

Education and Experience:        

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years experience performing similar functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Applicable experiences include, Inventory and production control, international/domestic shipping and receiving in an ISO 9001 quality, FAA, and DOD regulated environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. 
  • Ability to read blueprints. 
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, Inventory, and Part Traceability. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to adapt to Manufacturing Software System.
  • Must have impeccable organizational skills and be detailed oriented.
  • Position requires the ability to lift 30 pounds to bench height and 20 pounds overhead.
